The job purpose of a Head of Engineering and implementation is to oversee and manage the technical aspects of projects, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of engineering and implementation initiatives within an organization.
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the technical strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of telco infrastructure and services, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor engineering and implementation teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Network Optimization: Continuously optimize network performance and reliability through capacity planning, upgrades, and maintenance.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality service delivery.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations and industry standards in Malaysia.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, allocating resources effectively to meet business objectives.
Technical Expertise: Stay updated on emerging telco technologies and trends, applying them to enhance the company's services.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering and implementation projects.
