Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Development Operations and Product Commercialisation, and leads high-performing teams consisting of Managers, IT Architects, Engineers and Technicians to develop, manage and go-live our products as well as manage technology architecture to align the company with its vision for its technological needs. The role forms part of the Company's Senior Management Team that defines the strategy of and tracking against the business growth plans.
The position reports to the Managing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead, direct, and manage the Technology Division, establishing and communicating a clear vision of technology's uses and advantages.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and execute new and current technology, systems, and applications to support commercial and academic operations within the telecommunication industry.
• Oversee and direct the information technology infrastructure to improve efficiency, productivity, and accessibility.
• Ensure quality technology and support by conducting effective needs assessments, system design, selection, and proper implementation.
• Interact with internal and external customers to establish needs, analyze operations, and implement changes and improvements.
• Supervise the creation, design, and deployment of new applications, environments, and software programs.
• Develop alternative approaches, designs, and programming concepts to keep the department at the forefront of technological advancement.
• Review and recommend contracts and services for information technology and related services and equipment.
• Formulate and execute the organization’s technology architecture blueprint and strategy, aligning it with the overall organizational strategy.
• Lead all aspects of the organization’s technological development, ensuring technological resources meet short-term and long-term needs.
• Build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement and translate business strategy into commercially viable products, driving new revenue streams.• Oversee the identification and prioritization of product enhancements and innovation to optimize service efficiency and user experience, considering customer needs, market opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
• Maintain a consumer-focused outlook and aid in the delivery of IT projects to the market.
• Oversee the IT infrastructure to improve efficiency, productivity, and accessibility to support daily operations within the telecommunication sector.
• Oversee and monitor the deployment of cybersecurity architecture to protect digital assets across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven over than 20 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role within the telecommunications industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong strategic thinking, project management, and innovation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of technology trends, cybersecurity, and information systems.
