Neuro Diagnostic Technician
Job Description :
Responsible for conducting various neurodiagnostic tests to assess the electrical activity of the brain and nervous system. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, including neurologists and other medical staff, to contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological disorders.
- Conduct Neurodiagnostic Tests.
- Perform EEGs (Electroencephalograms), evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, and other neurodiagnostic tests according to established protocols.
- Ensure that patients are properly prepared for neurodiagnostic procedures, including explaining the process, placing electrodes on the patient's scalp or body, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Monitor and observe patients during neurodiagnostic tests, ensuring the accurate recording of electrical signals and making adjustments as needed.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Report any malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
- Record and analyze electrical patterns and abnormalities in the brain and nervous system, and prepare detailed reports for interpretation by neurologists or other physicians.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team.
- Work closely with neurologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Ensure Patient Comfort and Safety.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during neurodiagnostic procedures, addressing any concerns or discomfort promptly.
Educate patients about the procedures, answer their questions, and provide information on what to expect during and after neurodiagnostic tests.
