Job Description :

The Vice Chancellor (VC) will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s  Academic Health System.  TheVC will lead the integration of clinical practice with academic initiatives, driving continuous improvements in healthcare delivery and aligning them with the organization's overall strategic objectives. He will also oversee clinical performance metrics, quality assurance, and resource management to support the organization’s growth and value creation in the healthcare sector.

Strategic Leadership and Integration: Develop and execute clinical governance and healthcare delivery strategies aligned with the organization’s business objectives. Led the integration of clinical operations with the Academic Health System, promoting seamless collaboration between clinical services, academic research, and innovation initiatives. This role will ensure that clinical functions meet regulatory standards while supporting the organization's growth, advancing patient care, and fostering long-term value creation. The VC will also promote a culture of innovation through strategic partnerships with academic and research entities.

•Business Value Creation: Identify and prioritize clinical initiatives aligning with the organization’s strategic goals, enhancing patient outcomes, and improving hospital operational performance. Collaborate with clinical departments, academic units, research teams, and government affairs to address healthcare challenges effectively, ensuring patient care initiatives integrate with research and innovation to elevate healthcare delivery standards and drive organizational growth.

•Academic Excellence Leadership: Oversee the integration of clinical operations with the Academic Health System at the University, fostering close collaboration between academic, clinical, and research teams. Ensure alignment of clinical education, research, and patient care initiatives to drive evidence-based improvements in healthcare. This synergy between research and practice will elevate the organization’s commitment to academic excellence and healthcare innovation, improving the quality of patient care through advanced, research-informed practices.

•Research & Innovation: Develop and implement performance metrics that not only assess clinical outcomes and operational efficiency but also measure contributions from academic and research activities across the hospitals. The VC will drive the use of data and analytics to identify improvement areas, fostering initiatives that enhance patient care quality, safety, and service delivery. By integrating research insights and academic findings into these metrics, the VC will champion innovative approaches to continuously improve performance standards in healthcare.

•Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the budget for clinical operations, the Academic Health System, and research initiatives to align with the organization’s strategic priorities. Ensure efficient resource allocation across clinical and academic units, managing vendor relationships to provide cost-effective solutions and drive operational excellence.

Career Experience

Experience as a Vice Chancellor (VC) or equivalent leadership role within a higher education institution, with a strong focus on advancing academic and research initiatives.

Leading clinical transformation and operational improvements at a senior leadership level, with a proven track record in advancing clinical governance and healthcare delivery.

Leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across clinical services and operational functions within the organization.

Hands-on experience in implementing clinical governance frameworks, quality assurance programs, or healthcare technologies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Building and managing relationships with external healthcare partners, regulatory bodies, and industry groups

Industry Experience

Extensive clinical leadership experience within a healthcare organization

Familiarity with healthcare accreditation processes and standards (e.g., JCI, MSQH)

Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and collaboration with academic institutions or research organizations

Familiarity with telemedicine and digital health solutions, including their integration into clinical practice
