Job Description :

Our client an MNC NGO is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to lead the Finance and Administration function as the Senior Director. Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Director will provide leadership and direction in Finance Management, Risk Management, Procurement, Technology Solutions, Operations, and Administration to support the organization's mission and objectives. The Incumbent will act as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and performs other duties as requested by the Executive Director/CEO.
 
KEY OUTPUTS
 
Finance Management:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with organizational goals.
2. Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, providing analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
3. Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk, identifying and mitigating potential risks and optimizing financial performance.
4. Manages and ensures the delivery of the annual budget in co-ordination with the other departments and under guidance of the Executive Director/CEO.
5. Devises and maintains financial systems, procedures and internal controls.
Risk Management:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks.
2. Establish risk management policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard organizational assets and resources.
3. Ensures that the appropriate risk management and financial oversight structures are in place.
Procurement:
1. Lead the procurement function, overseeing vendor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers, negotiating favourable terms and managing vendor performance.Technology Solutions:
1. Provide strategic direction and oversight for technology solutions and systems to support finance, administration, and operational functions.
2. Identify opportunities for process automation, system integration, and digital transformation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data security.

Operations and Administration:
1. Lead the operations and administration team, overseeing office management, facilities, logistics, and administrative services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
2. Develop and implement administrative policies, procedures, and systems to support organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Responsible for reporting on progress against our client’s operations KPIs to the Board of Trustees.
4. Ensures coordination between the different operations functions of Finance, Technology Solution and Procurement/Property Management for integration and cohesion.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) is preferred. Suitable candidates with an appropriate University degree in Operational Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration or related fields, and with relevant equivalent work experience, may also be considered;
2. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance management, administration, and operations leadership roles, preferably in the non-profit sector or international organizations.
3. Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, analyse trends, and make strategic recommendations.
4. Demonstrated experience in risk management, procurement, technology solutions, and administration.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams and Board of Trustees.
6. Proficiency in Financial Management software, ERP systems, Google and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Personnel/people management, coaching, and monitoring skills;

Working Relationship
 Internal –Interacts regularly with members of the Senior Leadership Team, senior staff, Board of Trustees and CEOs of our client's Offices.
 External – High level contacts with other international organisations, businesses and government officials.
