This role is responsible for leading and managing the Allied Health Services (AHS) Division to achieve operational targets and goals, maximize operation efficiency, and strive to improve customer satisfaction and stakeholders’ return.
This role is also responsible for leading respective AHS professionals to achieve best practice patient care clinically and at the service level, develop clinical competencies within AHS through new business development, and implement new services in line with the hospital business plan and strategic direction, training, and development. This role holds responsibility for ensuring conformance to all relevant regulatory requirements governing various Allied Health Services.
Overseeing the clinical governance of AHS through the development and review of policy and procedure, tracking and monitoring of division operation Quality Performance Indicator (QPI) to achieve excellent patient clinical outcome standards.
- Oversee and drive excellence for all AHS department QPI to promote and achieve excellent patient clinical outcomes. Monitor and ensure AHS departments achieve respective department QPI.
- Ensure AHS division operational policies and procedures are reviewed and per accreditation standards, statutory requirements, and up-to-date best practices.
- Direct respective AHS Head of Departments to regularly review and ensure effective workflow, and operational processes and implement changes where necessary to promote appropriate service integration that enhances service quality and smooth operations.
- Partake in Hospital Credentialing and Privileging committee activities to ensure all AHS clinical personnel are qualified and privileged to perform various clinical roles.
- Promote and drive AHS Head of Departments to create a culture of continuous learning, through continuing education and professional development activities.
Lead and direct the Allied Health Services Division in service development and implementation as well as in the establishment of an effective and efficient operations system, to achieve divisional financial and service goals
- Formulate and timely implement business plan and operations strategies for Allied Health Services, in line with the hospital's strategic plan, the changing market trends, and requirements.
- Set periodical and close monitoring of the financial performance of the Allied Health Services and activate remedial measures as and when required.
- Plan and ensure budget and resource allocation prudently and cost-effectively while delivering the best level of services.
- Review and establish a sound and effective management control system and framework for managing Allied Health Services; integrate and balance resources and operational matters to deliver the business objectives.
Perform any other duties as assigned to meet company goals and objectives
- Participate in other related activities to ensure the constant growth and smooth-running of Medical Centre operations.
- Recommend resource allocation to support expansion plan and new business goals.
Who are we looking for
- A recognized Degree in Allied Health discipline.
- Additional qualifications in MBA is an added advantage.
- Registered under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016 with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
- At least 10 years of working experience in an increasingly responsible management-level position in a hospital.
- Demonstrated knowledge of planning, setting directions, managing a team, and budgeting.
- Demonstrate high initiative and work towards achieving company goals and objectives competently.
- Good project management and experience in rolling out new services.
- Good conceptual and analytical thinking with strategic orientation.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in weighing up alternatives, and capability to make considered decisions for operational level under conditions with some uncertainties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to negotiate, direct, engage, or facilitate others to gain commitment or derive common objectives.
