Job Description :

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the non-clinical operations during the night shift in the hospital.
  • To ensure efficient and smooth functioning of the hospital during the nighttime hours, which includes non-office hours.

Core Duties

  • Responsible for supervising and leading the night shift staff and support personnel, ensuring the team is properly staffed, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support to maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Responsible for optimizing operational efficiency during the night shift, executing and implementing appropriate measures to streamline operations by minimizing waiting times, and ensuring timely patient care.
  • Identify and analyze bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Responsible for effective allocation of resources during the night shift, which includes inter-departmental coordination of staff levels, allocation of equipment, and supplies are available for smooth operations and to meet patient needs.
  • Ensures safety and well-being of patients, oversees patient care activities, and ensures adherence to quality standards and protocols. Address issues and concerns related to patient safety and escalate such matters as necessary.
  • Play a critical role in emergency response situations, coordinate emergency procedures, mobilize resources, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among the night shift team and other departments within the hospital.
  • Ensures all operations during the night shift comply with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and health care standards to ensure compliance and mitigate any regulatory risks.
  • Act as a point of contact and facilitate effective communication and coordination between the night shift team, hospital departments, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates regarding night shift operations.
  • Handles incidents and complaints that arise during the night shift. Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and communicate with patients, families, and staff to address concerns. Ensure the e-incident reports are raised by the respective departments.
  • Ensures a safe and secure work environment, enforces safety protocols, and addresses any security concerns or incidents that may arise during the night shift.
  • Adapt at identifying and resolving operational issues or challenges that arise during the night shift, which involves analyzing problems, proposing solutions, and implementing appropriate measures to overcome obstacles and maintain smooth operations.

Who are we looking for?

  • Degree in Hospitality, or any other related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in a managerial role in a hospital operations or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented with great compassion.
  • Ability to understand complex issues with great problem-solving skills.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills with effective decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work permanent night shift, odd hours, and often under pressure.
