The Head of Procurement is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement and material management process for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services. The Head of Procurement will direct the procurement of goods and services for the Company’s operations and support; assist Procurement team members and colleagues with procurement processes, change and updates other procurement-related activities; develop and/or update procurement policies and procedures; and develop a centralized procurement program that will add value and efficiency to the Company.
The position reports to Chief Administrative Officer.
• Developing Procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Reviewing existing Contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
• Performing risk assessments on potential Contracts and Agreements.
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Ensure to contribute proper appointment of Contractor or Suppliers by the Procurement Committee
• Ensure the integrity of Procurement documentation and data by communicating and advising the operating management on the procurement process and standards.
• Manage current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed.
