Job Description :

Lead and oversee SIRIM’s Corporate Relations efforts by formulating and implementing frameworks that effectively position the organization’s image, enhance stakeholder trust, and uphold corporate values which involves managing stakeholder and public relations, developing comprehensive corporate communication strategies, strengthening corporate affairs and government relations, overseeing corporate events and protocols, and expanding international collaborations to ensure SIRIM’s visibility, reputation, and engagement at national and global levels while aligning with the organization’s vision and strategic goals.

  1. Develop and implement Corporate Relations strategies and global outreach to ensure effective implementation of the action plans that funnel the leads that contribute to the financial sustainability of SIRIM.
  2. Plan and manage OPEX and CAPEX within the approved budget and optimize the use of resources. 
  3. Lead a comprehensive corporate communication plan and messaging to foster positive relationships with various key stakeholders including government agencies, industry partners, media representatives and interest groups that aligns with corporate goals and enhances SIRIM’s reputation.
  4. Oversee the creation of corporate publications, press releases, media briefings, and PR campaigns to enhance SIRIM’s visibility and credibility.
  5. Develop and maintain a robust crisis communication framework to address potential risks and safeguard SIRIM's reputation, while serving as the primary spokesperson to deliver accurate, timely, and empathetic messaging to stakeholders and the public during crises.
  6. Plan and execute high-profile corporate events, official visits, international engagement and CSR initiatives including the establishment of corporate protocols to reflect professionalism and organizational values.
  7. Plan corporate relations strategies and develop comprehensive action plans for the Group/Division/Section Business Plan & Budget to support SIRIM Group's business sustainability.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance to develop, enforce, maintain, and monitor policy, procedures and systems for the department in order to strengthen integrity and governance, quality, OSH, environmental, and business performance.
  9. Drive, demonstrate and cultivate behaviors that reflect accountability in the working environment for the success of SIRIM Cultural Beliefs amongst subordinates or team members to build a sustainable high-performance team.
  10. Develop a strategic approach towards training and developing subordinates/staff by mentoring, coaching, motivating and guiding them to build competencies and knowledge, and create a challenging and successful career progression
