Responsible for the overall corporate financial budgeting, planning, and forecasting needs of the Company, establishing/reviewing guidelines related to forecasting and budgeting process to ensure consistency and accuracy, managing the team and providing reporting/information to management team to support decision making
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the finance and accounting team and manage relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
• Form a close working relationship with the President Director, other Senior Mangers/Executives and Non- Executives.
• Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimize the Company's financial performance and strategic position.
• Take overall control of the Company's accounting function.
• Manage Company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, as appropriate.
• Lead Finance & Accounting team effectively, coach and mentor, assign work according to availability, skills and developmental needs, assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports.
• Drive monthly closing and reporting cycle, including assessing bad debts provision, tax provision, project profitability.
• Provide guidance on interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.
• Support in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting. Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting to optimize the working capital of the businesses supported through best practice collections and payment management, banking relationships.
• Take ultimate responsibility for the Company cash management policies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintaining internal financial controls, procedures and policies.
• Ensure timely compliance with all local regulations including audit, taxation, legal, submissions and policies.
• Support in review of cost efficiency and tax strategy.
• Present annual accounts to investors.
• Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors.
• Contribute fully to the development of Company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.• To undertake any other duties as directed by the Immediate Supervisor and Management as and when required.
